High Quality ECE Initiative in Philadelphia

Black Wildflowers Fund is proud to launch a new grant program that invests in the future of high-quality early childhood education programs in Philadelphia.

Through this initiative, which is graciously supported by The Penn Foundation, we are creating 150 new, high-quality early childhood seats across the greater Philadelphia area. By providing the resources needed to move local programs from foundational care to excellence, we are deepening our commitment to the City of Brotherly Love.

By transitioning providers from STAR 2 to STAR 4, the highest rating in Pennsylvania’s quality tier system, we are ensuring that more Philadelphia children have access to research-backed curricula, stable and well-supported teaching teams, and environments designed for optimal learning.
