Our Focus
We aim to disrupt the barriers of systemic oppression in education and cultivate a sense of belonging for Black educators, children, and families.
We will achieve this by supporting the creation of Teacher-led microschools, funding to obtain a Montessori credential, and purposefully designing a thriving Community of Practice.

School Start-up Grants
To ensure that every Teacher-leader has sufficient capital to launch their microschool, we provide start-up grants to help Black TLs begin from a place of abundance.
Montessori Credential Grants
To expand Black leadership in Montessori classrooms, we provide grants to Black educators who are actively pursuing Montessori credentials in MACTE training programs.
Ignite Grants for Innovation and Sustainability
These microgrants will support Black Teacher Leaders facing unforeseen financial challenges, or requiring funding for innovation at their schools.
Building a Community
of Practice
To inspire Black educators we will host online and in-person gatherings for professional development, personal growth, wisdom exchange, and collaboration.
